Tried cake pops with the cubs tonight. Made the frosting with quite a lot of icing sugar and since the scout hut was so cold I had to warm it in the microwave so it could be mixed. The candy icing set too quickly, again it may have been the cold. Melted chocolate worked better. Mugs worked well to prop the cake pops to set.
The cake mix was a bit stiff, I think it would have worked better with only a few mins in the fridge and probably more frosting to cake.
Cubs seemed to enjoy themselves though!
